Worth knowing
Watch for
The main straight runs for over a kilometre into Turn 1, the best overtaking chance of the lap. Beyond it, fast corners make it hard to follow closely.
Built for bikes
The track went up in just over a year for Qatar's first MotoGP event in 2004. It was designed mainly for motorcycles, and Formula 1 arrived in 2021.
The lights
Permanent lighting was added in 2007, which is what makes night racing possible here.
