Worth knowing
Watch for
Turn 1 is the most reliable place to pass, with the last chicane the other big chance. Turn 2 follows so fast that a driver who dives in too deep can lose the place straight back.
The crossover
The track crosses itself in a figure of eight: the back straight runs over the front section on a bridge.
The test track
Honda built Suzuka in 1962 as its own test track, and the Dutchman John Hugenholtz drew the layout.
